Seminar: "Target New Markets, A Strategic Approach To Exporting Your Services"

Nowadays many SME firms continue to focus exclusively on the home market. Others, who are exporting on an occasional basis, lack the knowledge and skills to pursue international markets. This is true not only for companies that manufacture products, but also for the trade services sector which is growing exponentially. It is estimated that by 2025, more than 50% of world trade will consists of services.

FEM's collaboration with Vdev Consulting and Global Links Network on "Target New Markets, A Strategic Approach To Exporting Your Services" funded by MIDA. There was overwhelming response for this seminar, and only 30 participants from 30 woman owned companies were selected.

In order for Malaysia to become a significant player in the global market, capacity must be built at all levels, involving manufacturers/ service providers, associations, government and other stakeholders. Hence, this programme primarily targets SMEs in the services sectors, focussing in particular on strengthening the institutional support infrastructure, enhancing enterprise competitiveness, and promoting concrete business opportunities.

This workshop comprised of 5 days intensive training with folow ups where trainers will mentor, coach, review and analyse the progress of the participants throughout the 18 weeks.
